Sedona

Yesterday Corey had another performance with the Puma Jazz Band. This time, we traveled to Sedona to play at the new shopping plaza named Tequa near the Hilton (actually we were in Oak Creek- in what must be the Greater Sedona Area). Since we arrived early, we drove around a little and had the opportunity to take a couple of shots of the scenery and have dinner before the concert.
The concert itself went very well (apparently they had power installed only a matter of a couple of hours before the performance). It was well attended by locals ( I can only assume by the number of people who knew each other). They were familiar with the old big band tunes, and many of the couples used the wooden dance floor set up for the occasion. Nice night to sit outside, and unlike in Phoenix at that time of the night, it actually required a light jacket!!
I tried to take shots of the band playing, but by the time I thought about it, darkness had crept over everything and the photos did not turn out.

I envy you living near such spectacular scenery! I just love the pictures of the landscape / desert-scape.
