Shower

A couple of days ago, a good friend of mine put on a surprise wedding shower for me. It was complete with banners, good food, friends, silly games and ridiculous hat of bows and ribbons (at least we did not do the bra). I received a number of lovely gifts and we had lots of laughs trying to walk the length of the living room with large coins held by even larger muscles (don't ask- there was also the tricky bit about letting go of the coin once you reached the bowl at the end!)

To all of you who attended and are regular viewers of this blog, I thank you here for thinking of me and doing the traditional thing even though I am usually something less than traditional. I was really touched by your efforts.

A big "Thank You" to Madeline who hosted the event and made what is probably the highest fibre, low calorie wedding cake I have even seen ( it is made of three tiers of white towels).
