Patong Beach

Patong Beach, Phuket Thailand, was a lovely, lovely place with the right air and water temperatures. However, we really only have one photo of it. I think that this is due to the following reasons:
1.the company on the beach- met an Australian couple (she was actually from Ireland and nearly told us her entire life story), and then a British couple (he has retired in Spain,and they used to be a couple, but now they are just friends....), and talked for hours,
2.the low, low price of the beer. Two Thai beers (Singha) were about 120 Baht, which were equivalent to three U.S. dollars. In addition to this, they were delivered to our beach chairs, cold and often,
3. the infinite variety of people walking down the beach: the old men in the speedos, the young topless women, the bronzed middle aged women, the hairy, the fat, the you-name-it walking the sand,
4.losing track of time (see item 2 above).

Don't take my word for it- go check it out. We are going back at the end of March. Maybe we will have more photos then. Maybe....
