Orchids!
Last month, we stopped over in Singapore for a couple of days, while on our way to a brief Asian cruise. This two day layover gave us plenty of time to do a quick tour of the city as well as take a little longer through a couple parts of town.
One of those was the National Orchid Garden, which is a part of the Singapore Botanic garden. On a warm and relatively humid afternoon, we took a bus to the botanic gardens and wandered around it. It proved to be a popular place; people were having picnics on the lawns, children were wandering on scooters, and couples strolled along the paved trails. We scouted around the heart of the garden, took a few shots, and headed over to the orchid garden.
The collection of orchids was impressive and the display of the species very clever in spots. These flowers were so beautiful, there is really little to say about them- just enjoy the photos.
I've even included a fly trap for you.
Some photos courtesy of yours truly, others were taken by JCS.
