Inspiration

Recently, a friend of mine said that I inspired her to create her own blog. She in turn has inspired me to look at the pile of UFO's (UnFinished Objects) that I have in my possession. I had a bit of time today before I started packing for Vancouver, and so I rummaged through my sewing tackle.

I found a small bear that I started on the day that my nephew Josh was born. I recall the seemingly long wait for his arrival (not just on that day but through the entire gestation), and thought to use the time productively. The bear is all hand sewn and stands about 4 inches high; he is made of plush , but has suede paws and feet. I managed to get everything but the ears done. So today, seven, nearly eight years later, I put them on. They were a little fussy to put on (just as I had imagined they would be), but he looks so much better with them on his head, instead of attached to his side with a pin.
