Citrus and Bouganvillea

Just returned from an annual quick trip to San Diego. I continue to be amazed by the ability to pluck and eat citrus right off the tree, and around Christmas time, too. For someone whose early memories of winter (or christmas) always include either snow or cold, it is still a wonder to be able to spend a winter day outside in the backyard without five layers of thermal wear, sitting in hammocks and wearing sunglasses. Here's to living in the south!
We came away from the visit with a box of lemons, a box of limes and oranges, and one or two bananas/plantains. Nothing like fruit picked fresh from the tree.
