Art in Vancouver

While certainly well know for its green spaces and massive First Nation art, I'm not sure that many people have seen some of the public art that lurks in the odd spots in Vancouver. This is a new piece in a section near the revamped waterfront in the center of town. I think that it is not a very subtle piece; the upside down church is surely meant to make a statement on the state of religion today. British Columbia has one of the lowest church attendance rates in the country. I do love the red roof tiles however, and love the idea of the relocation of the building on that very spot, a la "wizard of Oz tornado."
