Summer Tea Drink

While I was fighting my way through the waves of people at the market at Granville Island, I happened to remember that I needed to find some tea in order to post both for June and for July. I know of this great tea merchant there, and made my way to make the purchase. I found two teas that I will likely post later this week, but while I was there, I spotted a trolley filled with clear plastic take away cups filled with ice tea all carefully lodged in a mound of chipped ice.

They had three selections available: a plain ice tea, a red berry ice tea and a lemonade and white tea concoction. As you can tell by the photo above, I chose the last option. Although I am a great fan, as you well know, of all teas, I am a bigger fan of lemonade. The option to drink the two at once, was too hard to pass up.

The predominant taste is lemonade. The lingering taste is that of tea tannin- so different kind of tang. With just the right amount of sugar, it was refreshing and the perfect drink for a windows, down, highway driving sunny summer day. I wonder if I can replicate this?
