A PhD is Completed
Here is an old and well traveled friend of the family standing with the tasseled cap worn on Friday May 15, and the dissertation that earned MH the new title of doctor today.
Congratulations are in order for work well done and for the tremendous effort and time that was poured in this endeavor. He will be starting work at Carleton this fall and the university will be an academically richer place for his presence, and his future students will be lucky to be taught by a teacher of his caliber.
We are all proud of the work and the tremendous persistence (and brilliance) that it took to accomplish this task. Good work, little B.

I wholeheartedly rejoice with you and your family at this accomplishment. We have one graduate student going for her PhD. out of our six. There are so many great young folks out there it is sad that we hear only the bad stuff in the media.
