Although many of you by now will have seen the Olympic torch that is being relayed through China right now, I thought that I would show you the lamp posts on Nanjing road- both a close up of the pattern and the post. Shanghai is hosting the runners today. I am of two minds about missing this event (we are away from the city)- I would like to witness the runners, but I also know that the crowds will be horrendous for hours and don't really want to be part of that.
