Mandarin lesson

Learn Chinesepod on Your Terms at ChinesePod.com

I found a podcast that teaches Mandarin to varying levels of students. I thought that I would try it; there is nothing to lose since it is free and at the minimum I can hear the cadence of the language and learn some new words. It turns out that the podcast is linked to a web site (chinesepod.com) and it has lessons, vocabulary sheets and drill exercises (flashcards too). So I am using some spare time going through the lessons and trying to learn some very basic (menu requests, locations, colors etc...) Surprisingly, the vocabulary list constructed from this is already 93 words long. I definitely do not have it memorized, but since I now have that list saved to my computer, I can take it out whenever I want.

I've linked this part of one of the lessons, just to give you an idea of what it is like.
