Storms

Once again it is storm season here in Phoenix. The locals call it "Monsoon Season." It sems a bit over the top since it really does not look anything like the tropical storms called monsoon, that I have seen on television. However, it is humid (remember that it is all relative) and we do get some rain. Occasionally, the rain even hits the ground.

I was away for the great storm this season, but since I have been hearing thunder for the last hour or so, I thought that I would post a couple of photos that I took yesterday. Phoenix really does get some spectacular cloud formations. Perhaps they seem that way because the rest of the year, the sky is blue, blue, blue.

These clouds never even yielded any rain or thunder. Quite disappointing in the end, but perhaps there will be some action tonight.
