A is for Art
Here is the first installment of a new feature on this blog. I thought of this idea about 6 months ago, and finally sat down to write enough of them in advance to feel comfortable to launch it. I intend to do one post every two weeks blogging about things particular to Shanghai or to China. If my math is accurate, this should take me a year to complete. Let's see how I do.
A is for art, especially the kind that is found in the streets outside of grand buildings and important places. Around this city, there is art aplenty and of all types from abstract to lifelike. Some of the art, like the lady above, is made of bronze while other is carved out of marble. There is everything from whimsy to horses, to ellipses with metal sticks at right angles to it. I've been meaning to take more photos of the statues and other bits as I walk around- perhaps this post will be the motivation.
A is also for the art that my friend LBK is creating with a master once or twice per week. I include a mountain scene that she displayed at a coffee morning recently.

Love love love the new feature!
What a great idea.
It's so creative, observant, curious, and communicative. I could go on and one.
Well done.

What a wonderful idea. I look for blogs where I can learn from. Yours is perfect.
