Here is are belated photos of my trip to Phoenix this past January.  Hard to believe a place that sunny and warm exists in North America at that time of the year. It was a rude shock to return to Shanghai, in time for the new year's festivities (February 13/14) and snow- yes freezing, grey weather.

These photos were taken at the Boyce Thompson Arboretum where I spent part of a lovely, warm day with my parents, just walking around and checking out the multiple varieties of cacti and plants that the area can support
